Flight Operations at Ruckel

Ruckel Properties publishes a guide to flight operations at Ruckel. Ruckel's guide is the definitive place for all information. Here is a summary of the highlights.

Radio

122.90 - Unicom-like communications in the pattern
125.10 - Eglin Approach North, call after take-off for further clearance to the north. 124.05 can also be used but is more appropriate for arrivals from the north.
132.10 - Eglin Approach South, call after take-off for further clearance to the south
134.625 - Eglin ATIS, you may or may not be able to receive this

Pattern

Normally take-offs to the north and landings to the south are preferred due to noise abatement. The landing pattern be on the east side of the runway. Traffic patterns will be within one nautical mile of the airport. Traffic pattern altitude is officially “at or below 800′ MSL” but by common consent among the pilots it is normally at 700′ MSL.

Transient Pilots

Transient pilots should contact Ruckel Properties in advance at 850-678-2223 or businessoffice@ruckelproperties.com and be approved before landing.
